Stage Manager

Stage Manager will be present during all SCMC season concerts as well as any rental concerts that require service. The Stage Manager will be responsible for working with the production staffs of the artist and SCMC, assisting with production needs if needed, immediately before and during performances. Position will work with the Executive Director to help execute the artists’ needs while they are here, doing anything from making coffee to reworking the stage setup during the concert. Position will remain back stage during all SCMC concerts to oversee back stage and dressing room areas. Position will maintain an organized and efficient backstage area and reset or clear the stage area following concerts. Position is the last person in the venue on concert nights and will be responsible for closing the venue. This position will not handle concert sound or lighting.

Stage Manager reports to Event & Facility Director.

Requirements:

• Evening and weekend availability required, some late nights.

• Must be available for all SCMC concerts.

• Ability to do light to medium lifting for setup and tear down.

• Must be very friendly, outgoing and customer service minded.

• Ability to both follow directions and work well unsupervised.

• Must be reliable, motivated and self-sufficient.

• Interest and ability in Music, Entertainment and the Arts, and Theatre Technology desired.
